Equality in Tourism International is the leading NGO dedicated to advancing women’s rights and gender equality across the global tourism sector. Through research, advocacy and annual recognition, they drive structural change in an industry where women represent the majority of the workforce but remain dramatically underrepresented in leadership.
Regenera Luxury’s alliance with Equality in Tourism reflects a conviction that regenerative luxury cannot be credible without addressing the human dimension of sustainability — starting with the women who run, serve and lead the hospitality sector. Our Founder & CEO Hector De Castro has served as a judge of the Equality in Tourism Awards at ITB Berlin for the fourth consecutive year, alongside GSTC and the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance.

The Equality in Tourism Awards were held at the LGBTQ+ Tourism Pavilion at ITB Berlin 2026 — with Regenera Luxury represented on the judging panel for the fourth consecutive year, alongside the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. The panel was moderated by Dr. Stroma Cole, University of Westminster.
