Foundation & Governance
Revenue resilience, regenerative leadership, ethics, stakeholder co-governance, transparency & SDG alignment.
A structured certification framework that unites regeneration, quality and revenue into one measurable, audited management system — browse it section by section, criterion by criterion.
Regenera Luxury is not only an environmental standard. It is a management system that earns the right to regenerative language by first building discipline underneath it — measured in regeneration, in quality, and in revenue.
Carbon, water, biodiversity, circularity and community — the measurable environmental and social outcomes a property regenerates, not merely protects.
Sections C · D · G · HA full quality-management system — documented procedures, evidence trails and a dedicated internal-audit module — so every claim is verifiable and every process repeatable.
Sections A · I · Internal AuditADR, RevPAR, occupancy and survival horizon tracked alongside impact — proving that regenerative performance protects margin, resilience and asset value.
Section A · Finance & ResilienceEvery requirement in the Regenera Luxury Standard follows the same path. The public layer takes you to the intent and evidence; the calculation and audit logic stay reserved for the accompanied certification process.
Built on the RMP methodology and aligned to GSTC, the RL Standard is designed to complement Green Globe, UN Tourism, UNESCO, LEED, WELL, ISO 50001 / 46001, the GHG Protocol, GRI and the SBTi — then extended with regenerative metrics designed for hotels and retreats.
From financial resilience and internal quality to cultural legacy, the Standard measures performance across nine weighted domains. Every KPIs below is browsable in the Explorer.
Revenue resilience, regenerative leadership, ethics, stakeholder co-governance, transparency & SDG alignment.
Rooms, F&B, engineering, water and circular waste flows measured across every operational zone.
Climate & carbon, water stewardship, air quality and biodiversity outcomes at the property scale.
Bioclimatic, biophilic, ecological-cultural integration and circular & regenerative materials.
Emotional, sensory, sleep, cognitive and physical guest regeneration — measured, not claimed.
Neuro-sensory architecture, culinary memory, behavioural nudges and an ethical guest journey.
Local economic regeneration, fair & ethical employment, and community prosperity & empowerment.
Living-heritage revitalization & transmission, cultural integrity and legacy co-creation.
The system that tracks 100% of Regenera KPIs quarterly and closes the continuous-improvement loop.
Of nearly 300 KPIs, only 20 are mandatory — the essential core every certified property meets. Everything else is a menu of continuous improvements that earn points to climb from Signature to Gold to Platinum. Filter by section, requirement, property type and SDG.

The Regenera Luxury System™ and RMP™ Methodology are the result of more than 20 years of hands-on, on-the-ground experience in luxury hotel development, combined with years of work alongside regenerative hospitality practitioners, doctoral researchers and institutional collaborators across the global tourism and hospitality sector.
Its 300-KPI framework is aligned with leading international references including UNESCO, WELL, GSTC, the World Economic Forum and the Rainforest Alliance, while extending beyond conventional sustainability standards through advanced regenerative metrics designed specifically for luxury hotels, retreats and destinations.
What makes the system distinctive is its integrated architecture: RL Compass, a live regenerative performance platform; an independent third-party audit pathway; certification readiness tools; evidence-based KPIs; and a complete brand, booking and destination visibility ecosystem.
This is not a static checklist or a generic sustainability label. It is a proprietary performance system built to help exceptional hotels measure, manage, verify and elevate regenerative luxury over time.
Meeting the 20 mandatory KPIs earns entry; optional improvements then lift a property from Signature toward Platinum. Performance across the nine sections resolves into a single Regenera Luxury Index score, awarded only after independent audit.
Entry to leadership
Signature
RLI · Foundational tier
A property meeting the mandatory core of the Standard and demonstrating credible, measured regenerative practice.
Proven performance
Gold
RLI · Advanced tier
Consistent performance across most sections, with optional and bonus criteria deepening verified impact.
Category leadership
Platinum
RLI · Leadership tier
Excellence across all nine sections, including innovation criteria — a property defining the regenerative-luxury frontier.
Levels are awarded only after evidence review and independent third-party audit. A public self-assessment or sample score does not constitute a certification level.
Each property is certified against the version of the Standard in force when its assessment cycle begins, and its certificate and public registry entry always state that version. A hotel certified under v1.3 therefore holds a full, valid certification — there is no second-class tier. At recertification the property migrates to the current version, so the portfolio converges on v1.4 over time without invalidating earlier work. New criteria introduced in v1.4 enter as opportunities to improve, never as retroactive penalties.
The public sample score shows how performance across the nine sections rolls up into a readiness picture and an indicative level.
It illustrates the shape of a result: an overall index, a section breakdown, and the priority areas a property would address next.
Illustrative only. Not a certification result. Final scoring requires evidence review and independent audit.
The Standard does not live in a PDF. RL Compass operationalises every KPI as a managed platform — measuring sustainability, quality and revenue side by side, with a dedicated internal-audit module that turns evidence into an independently auditable RLI score.
Finance & Resilience — ADR, RevPAR, occupancy and survival horizon tracked against budget, forecast and value realisation.
Revenue, margin, ADR / RevPAR, cash and survival horizon — the revenue language of the Standard.
Energy, water, carbon, waste and biodiversity, measured by operational zone.
Guest revitalization outcomes, retreats and experience quality.
A built-in quality-management and internal-audit module: procedures, evidence, non-conformities and corrective actions.
Local employment, community benefit and cultural-legacy programmes.
Quarterly KPI tracking, alerts, approvals and board-ready reporting.
The public Standard is where you orient. From here, a complimentary self-assessment gives you a readiness picture — and RL Compass turns the Standard into a live, managed certification journey.
Answer a short set of public questions and receive an indicative readiness level — Emerging, Preparing, Advancing, Certification-Ready or Leadership Candidate — with suggested next steps. An orientation tool only; not a certification or audit result.
