The foundation is aligned to selected KPIs from global frameworks — including UNWTO, LEED, GSTC, UNESCO, Fair Trade, IRENA, the World Economic Forum and Rainforest Alliance — and then adds advanced regenerative metrics designed specifically for the luxury boutique hotel sector.

How did we get here?
Luxury hospitality is undergoing a profound shift. As the climate crisis, biodiversity loss and socio-economic inequality grow, traditional sustainability is no longer enough. The market is demanding experiential, transformative and regenerative luxury that contributes to the wellbeing of all stakeholders — guests, investors, staff, communities, their legacy, and the natural world.
Regenera Luxury certification helps luxury brands move beyond compliance, beyond neutral, to become positive contributors to place. It translates regenerative principles into actionable hotel, retreat and tourism practices — providing a verified, credible and marketable pathway for luxury enterprises to lead the next wave of global hospitality.
Since its inception, Regenera Luxury has engaged a global advisory group of regenerative experts, hospitality leaders, scientists, cultural custodians and community stakeholders to co-create this framework.
