The global transition to a pollution-free, sustainable agrifood industry is gathering momentum—and regenerative principles are at the heart of it. Regenera Luxury is proud to support the newly launched Webinar Series organized by the UN Environment Programme, in collaboration with the One Planet Network, the International Ecosystem Management Partnership, the GEF Financing Agrochemical Reduction and Management (FARM) project, and the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP).

This dynamic series explores how circularity, regenerative practices, and the bioeconomy can accelerate sustainable transformation across agricultural value chains, helping to deliver on the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Webinar 1: Advancing Circular, Regenerative, and Bioeconomy Approaches in Agricultural Value Chains

📅 6 May 2025

The opening session brought together experts from UN agencies, academia, and global thought leaders to unpack the core concepts of circular, regenerative, and bioeconomy strategies—and how they can be applied to reshape the agrifood systems of the future.

Session Objectives:

  • Clarify key concepts and practical applications of circular, regenerative, and bioeconomy approaches in the agrifood industry.
  • Highlight the connections between these strategies and sustainable consumption and production patterns, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Present global and national policy experiences that support the adoption and scaling of these approaches.
  • Emphasize the importance of a just and inclusive transition, ensuring biodiversity, food security, health, and equity are protected—leaving no one behind.

Context

Sustainably transforming the agro-industry is essential to advancing social, economic, and environmental outcomes. The importance of circular and regenerative agriculture is recognized in UNEA-6 Resolution 1, which calls for resilient, low-carbon agro-industries—such as sugarcane—to contribute not only to food production but also to biomaterials, bioenergy, pollution reduction, climate action, and biodiversity protection.

At Regenera Luxury, we believe that luxury and regeneration go hand in hand. The leadership demonstrated in this global initiative strongly resonates with our vision of creating thriving ecosystems and regenerative supply chains that benefit both people and planet.
